This past Sunday, the Bell House hosted Nachos NY's 2nd Annual Salsa Slam. The Brooklyn Salsa company appropriately pulled double duty as sponsors and judge, joined by Jenny Miller of Grub Street, Shawn Parow of Eat!Drink!Snack!, and Rachel Anderson of Nachos NY on the judging side; and Brooklyn Brewery and Food Should Taste Good on the sponsorship end.

The event pitted professional and amateur salsa enthusiasts against one another in one of this area's only competition formats for this common - but all too often overlooked - party staple. There was something for all tastes; from the OG West Coast style to the less familiar jerk pineapple salsa.
