Verboten Opens March 14 In Williamsburg, Brooklyn

Club kids, rave dancers, boogie-downers, and head boppers get ready; Williamsburg, BK is about to get a third large-scale dance club.

Verboten, the notorious underground techno party promoters, will set up permanent spot in a 750-capacity, 10,000 square foot home at 54 N 11th Street this weekend. A former metal shop, the club will feature a "dystopian" aesthetic, and play host to live music, art shows, yoga and fitness classes, and burlesque performances.

The main "control room" will offer visitors a large open event space, centerd around a reclaimed sprung wood dance floor. Verboten will also feature multiple staging areas for DJ performances and live music, as well as an adjoining "Cabaret Bar" complete with steel chandiers and skylights.

Verboten will officially open its doors on Friday, March 14th, with a Rebel Rave party featuring Damian Lazarus, Francesca Lombardo, Fur Coat, Ida Engberg and Pattern Drama. The following night Verbotem will welcome Wasabassco burlesque, kicking of a monthly residency in the space.
