Brooklyn Food Coalition
The Brooklyn Food Coalition is a grassroots partnership of groups and individuals striving to give effective voice to all those who live or work in Brooklyn and wish to achieve a just and sustainable system for tasty, healthy, and affordable food.
The Brooklyn Food Coalition is comprised of ten neighborhood-based chapters and a growing number of issue-focused working committees. Members organize in a wide range of projects and events, such as: Volunteer days at urban farms and community gardens throughout the borough, Fort Greene Food Fest, a food-focused street fair and cooking contest , Food Policy education initiative focused on helping Brooklynites make the connection between their daily reality with food and larger policy issues.
