Have you ever dreamed of singing on stage with a crowd full of your friends screaming your name? Well make your dreams become reality with our Ultimate Brooklyn Karaoke Guide. Brooklyn has some of the best karaoke spots – and something for the novice to the pro. So own the night and the stage at these great karaoke spots!
Did we miss your fave karaoke spot? Which spots do you enjoy the most?
Karaoke – loosely translated – means “empty orchestra,” but this is hardly the case at the Manhattan Inn. There is a very unique aspect: a man playing a white piano in the center of the room. This is your accompaniment while you choose from a list of classic pop hits. If you’re feeling courageous, bring your own sheet music, and he’ll tickle the ivories as you croon the night away.

Karaoke on a Budget
Free food! Did someone say free food? Yes, free personal pizza with every drink you buy. Oh, and the drinks are fairly priced so you can have a few shots of liquid courage before you grace the stage. Or while you wait, you can watch the game and play some pool.
Alligator Lounge | 600 Metropolitan Avenue, b/w Lorimer/Leonard St | (718) 599-4440 | Williamsburg | Thursday, 10pm
If you’ve got soul, check out Two Steps Down on Fridays when their second floor turns into a karaoke lounge. They have a wide range of karaoke favorites as well as tons of new hits! Don’t be shy; if you’re not the best singer, the host will assist. In between karaoke selections, he performs a few ballads as well and the whole crowd is encouraged to join.

Karaoke for Beginners
It’s ‘Mocaoke’ Tuesdays at this low key, and cozy bar and lounge is perfect for all the first timers. They have a wide selection of songs, but no pressure because Moe’s is also perfect for just sitting back and relaxing in the cut.

Karaoke for Performers
Mondays at Brooklyn Bowl, the stage is set! So get ready to channel your inner American Idol with ‘Karaoke Killed The Cat’. The two MCs, who also serve as DJs, proclaim this event to be “karaoke for those of us who can’t sing”. They start the party and allow you to finish while performing as your backup singers and dancers. Anything goes. It’s your concert; we’re just sitting in on it.

If you think you are the next Jay-Z or feel you spit rhymes better than 50 Cent, then Hip Hop Karaoke is for you! Hosted at venues throughout NYC, it periodically calls Brooklyn Bowl home.
