Atlantic Avenue, Brooklyn’s most burgeoning strip – home to the infamous Atlantic Avenue and the recently opened Barneys CO-OP – will get a new pop up tenant.

On November 5th, A.R.T. will open its latest pop-up store, the first retail destination devoted exclusively to modular art and design products.  Everything within the store will be completely modular, and consequently, completely malleable in terms of design.  The store will feature A.R.T.‘s own portfolio—a fully customizable art collection—module wall pieces by L.A. artist Moshe Elimelech, as well as a new design extension of the A.R.T. brand, Module R, which will aggregate both residential and commercial modular design products for the home, office and beyond.

Founded by husband and wife duo, Donald and Gaby Rattner, A.R.T. initially launched in March of 2010 with its inaugural collection, ModulA.R.T., a portfolio of scalable modular art pieces including hanging sculptures, artist’s books and artist’s wallpapers. In conjunction with the opening of the new pop-up store, A.R.T. will further expand this collection with three new portfolios: Tapestries and Rotary Paintings, as well as modular wall pieces by Los Angeles-based artist Moshé Elimelech.

A.R.T. will be hosting a special holiday shopping evening and viewing of this unique collection at the store on Thursday, December 2nd, 2010, entitled: Tis the season to be Modular. For one night only, patrons will receive 10% off their entire in-store purchase.
