Big Snow Buffalo Lodge, Bushwick’s newest DIY music venue and studio space, opened its doors in late October of last year, becoming the latest addition to the neighborhood’s thriving music and nightlife scene. In the months since its opening, Big Snow has hosted concerts of every type, showcasing local favorites and up and comers of every genre. The decor is as eclectic as the shows the lodge hosts. A hodgepodge collection of murals and sketches line its walls. The bar is mirrored and much of the ceiling is covered in a pattern of multi-colored tiles resembling a rubix cube. The varying types of shows the venue hosts promises for a different type of crowd every night. Big Snow Buffalo Lodge is quickly becoming one of Brooklyn’s most prominent DIY music spaces. 89 Varet St., between Graham and Humbolt, Bushwick.
