A Taste of the Mediterranean for All at Celestino

Excitement abounds with the anticipated opening of Celestino in Bed-Stuy. From co-owner Massimiliano Nanni of popular pizza spot Saraghina, he has moved on to his own mixed Meditteranean 40-seat seafood joint set to grace Brooklyn with its nautical-themed presence in a few weeks, according to Grub Street. The tightly focused menu is sectioned into salads appetizers, pastas, mains and kid-friendly “for the little sailors” with two to four offerings in each. Open your appetite with Bluepointe oysters ($2.50) and build from there with a Proseco-marinated sardine salad ($12), curried cuttlefish ($13), a veggie cous cous ($13), and sweet scallops with caramelized onions ($15). With brick walls, and beef meatballs for the tikes, it can be a date spot or a family affair along the Mediterranean all the same. 562 Halsey Street, Bedford-Stuyvesant
